RCT emerges from stealth mode: TRACK THE DATA. WIN THE GAME.

Private investors, sports technologists, scientists and professional athletes combine to launch River Cities Technology: TRACK THE DATA. WIN THE GAME.

PRESS RELEASE

MIAMI, July 14, 2015 – River Cities Technology (RCT), a sports technology platform that provides an integrated solution of sensors, software and support to track athletic performance, announced today the official launch of the platform. This news comes on the heels of the Company’s recent binding commitments from several key team members and special advisors, as well as the completion of several tracking engagements with American Football, Soccer and Basketball organizations in the U.S. and abroad. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Team members include alumni from Goldman Sachs and Adobe, and several key sports engineers with a successful track record of capturing real-time data from over 150 live professional games and practice sessions. Special advisors include the renowned computer scientist John Peterson, and NFL legend and Heisman Trophy winner Herschel Walker.

“Data analytics for sports is all about transforming raw tracking data into actionable insights for the athlete, coach and stakeholders. Video highlights, high-speed cameras or raw tracking data do not provide the complete picture to make the best decisions, and can be very costly. We put together a team with deep experience in sports analytics – from engineers to scientists, coaches and athletes – to measure all of the components that matter to performance while displaying the output in a user-friendly manner,” said Rishi Gautam, CEO of RCT. “Our mission is to make our platform affordable for all budgets - from high school all the way through professional and Olympic arenas.”

RCT’s data set ranges from performance data to in-depth physiological data that includes cardiovascular fitness and risk models. For athletes coming back to play from an injury, RCT uses a specialized “Return to Play Analysis” to track the progress of the athlete both on and off the field.
